First generation civic

The first generation Honda Civic was introduced in 1972. Equipped with a 1169 cc (71.3 cu in) four-cylinder engine, the first generation Civic was designed to compete with the Americans and compact vehicles that offer features such as front disc brakes and power reclining seats and vinyl AM radio. The Civic is available in a coupe, three and five-door Hatchback and a five-door station wagon. Due to the oil crisis in 1973 the demand for fuel efficient vehicles and was the high quality construction with its civic fuel economy allowing it to succeed in the marketplace
