Fourth generation (EC/ED/EE/EF)

1988, the Civic was redesigned again with the increase in size and a lower hood line. A wide range of models and trim levels are offered for various markets around the world. U.S. All models offer fuel injection now, but carburettor models are available elsewhere. The fourth generation saw the introduction of the long D series engine.
