Fourth generation (EC/ED/EE/EF)


1988, the Civic was redesigned again with the increase in size and a lower hood line. A wide range of models and trim levels are offered for various markets around the world. U.S. All models offer fuel injection now, but carburettor models are available elsewhere. The fourth generation saw the introduction of the long D series engine.

Third generation civic



The third generation was launched in 1984. The five-door hatch and wagon were merged into a four-door "shuttle wagon" and a stylish coupe was introduced CRX label. First generation civic











The first generation Honda Civic was introduced in 1972. Equipped with a 1169 cc (71.3 cu in) four-cylinder engine, the first generation Civic was designed to compete with the Americans and compact vehicles that offer features such as front disc brakes and power reclining seats and vinyl AM radio. The Civic is available in a coupe, three and five-door Hatchback and a five-door station wagon. Due to the oil crisis in 1973 the demand for fuel efficient vehicles and was the high quality construction with its civic fuel economy allowing it to succeed in the marketplace

Honda Civic



The Honda Civic is a line of subcompact / compact cars manufactured by Honda. In the United States of America, the Civic is the second longest continuous operation of a plate of Japanese manufacturer, and only the Toyota Corolla, introduced in 1968, has been in production longer.The Civic, along with the Agreement and Prelude, Honda composite vehicles sold in North America until the 1990s, when the model range has expanded. Having gone through several generational changes, the Civic has become larger and higher, and currently slots between the form and Agreement.

Was submitted in July 1972 as a two-door coupe, followed by a three-door Hatchback that September. With the transverse engine mounting of its 1169 cc engine and front wheel drive, like the British Mini, the car provided good interior space despite small dimensions.The first Civic models were equipped with an AM radio, a rudimentary heater, foam cushioned plastic trim, two-speed wipers and painted steel rims with a wheel nut chrome lid. The current government has become much more luxurious with air conditioning, power locks, power windows, plus options like leather upholstery, satellite-linked navigation, and a six-speed manual transmission. Initially gaining a reputation for being fuel efficient, reliable and environmentally friendly, later iterations have become well known for their performance and sportsmanship, especially the Civic Type-R and Civic Si.

The Civic has been rebadged for international markets with models such as the Honda Ballade and Honda Domani / Acura EL. The Civic Platform also served as the basis for the CR-X compact sports CR-X del Sol Targa convertible, and the CR-V compact SUV.
Since 2008, the Civic has been the best-selling car in Canada for eleven consecutive years. With high gas prices and a weak economy in June 2008, the Civic supplanted the Ford F-150 to become the top-selling vehicles in the United States for the month.
